Electric Chassis
The Johnson Industries’ 72VDC Electric Chassis was designed to be the mobile base and frame for parade floats. The Electric Chassis can be built to any size necessary (within reason) and, with a carrying capacity of 6500 lbs (as shown), could also be used for moving large items in factories and construction projects. The heavy duty 15hp motor and low geared, planetary differential provide excellent power and torque. The batteries and other electrical components are easily accessible. The driver can sit low inside the vehicle for stealth or sit high for good visibility.The Electric Chassis is equipped with electric power steering, heavy leaf spring suspension, foam filled tires, and a Delta-Q on-board charger. There is enough room for auxiliary batteries.
